FreeSpeak II systems are available in 1.9Ghz and 2.4Ghz versions. The 1.9Ghz system is a DECT system that operates between 1.92 and 1.93 Ghz. The 2.4Ghz system is a frequency-hopper that operates from 2400Ghz through 2480Ghz. The user experience in terms of audio and operation is identical. One difference between the two frequencies is that 1.9Ghz antennas can support 5 beltpacks, while 2.4Ghz antennas can support 4 beltpacks.

Base Station
The basestation has connections for two Partylines and five 4-wires including a dedicated SA output and Program audio input.

The FreeSpeak base station serves as the heart of the wireless communication system for all digital wireless beltpack users. All wired and wireless communications flow through the basestation. Each wireless beltpack and wired intercom connection on the rear panel has its own full-duplex port, and the voice communication from each is sampled, mixed, and re-routed throughout the system as desired.

The base station supports up to 20 wireless beltpacks, with a front-panel vacuum fluorescent display showing status and battery information. Each beltpack has its own timeslot and can be individually addressed by the base, allowing multiple combinations of beltpack-to-beltpack and small-group conversations to happen simultaneously.

Please note that you MUST have at least one antenna for each area of 5 beltpack users for 1.9Ghz antennas or 4 beltpack users for 2.4Ghz antennas. The base station can support 2 antennas directly or you can add 1x5 antenna splitters to obtain more beltpacks and more area coverage.

Beltpacks
The all-new five-channel, full-duplex FreeSpeak II digital beltpack was uniquely designed for the rigorous demands of large-scale operations and continuous communication use. Ergonomic form factor, intuitive operation, and a rugged housing make the beltpack ideal for extended use. They are available with XLR-4M, XLR-5F, or XLR-7M headset connectors.
